Asphyxiater formed out of an earlier project called Suicidal Preacher and adopted the Asphyxiater name in 2025. They self-released the Malignancy demo on Bandcamp (released December 6, 2025) and have played regional metal bills listed on Eventbrite/AllEvents. The band is documented on metal databases such as Metal Archives.
