María Teresa Gertrudis de Jesús Carreño García (1853–1917) was a Venezuelan pianist, composer, soprano, and conductor who achieved international fame as a child prodigy and concert artist. She toured widely in Europe and the United States, composed numerous piano works and songs, and inspired later institutions and competitions that bear her name.
