About
Formed in 1993 by Imaad Wasif and Brian Girgus, Lowercase released multiple singles and three LPs in the 1990s on Amphetamine Reptile and Punk in my Vitamins and toured nationally. The band broke up in 2000, its members later playing with acts such as The Folk Implosion, Yeah Yeah Yeahs and Wooden Shjips. Lowercase reformed in January 2025 and played shows in California that year.
