About
Seapoodle, a seven-member "surfadelic" band, emerged from the COVID lockdown with a unique sound blending 60's psychedelia and surf rock with hints of metal, indie, and reggae. Sea Poodle is comprised of Mikko Fleming (lead guitar), Matt Donoghue (rhythm guitar), Jake Luther (bass), Cliff Brisner (percussion), Bailey Cecil (drums), Hunter Bragg (timbales) and John Hooper (keys). Their groovy jams, infused with Latin rhythms, offer a fresh vibe to an already dense scene.
The band's name has an interesting origin: founder Mikko Fleming, a former pro surfer from La Jolla, earned the nickname "Sea Poodle" due to his distinctive sun protection method—a white T-shirt on his head that resembled a poodle's coat when wet.
While Seapoodle currently has only one streaming track available, they've got a treasure trove of original music waiting in the studio. Recently, they showcased their talent by scoring Jason Baffa's surf film Confluence, demonstrating their versatility and potential.
