About

The Nat and WILDCOAST are proud to present a special screening of Guardians of the Wild, the inspiring story of international conservation teams and local communities working on the frontlines to protect Mexico’s truly wild places.

From Oaxaca's nesting sea turtles to the coastal deserts of Baja California, Guardians of the Wild immerses you in the stories of communities and organizations fighting to protect Mexico’s diverse ecosystems. This stunning documentary highlights the boots-on-the-ground stories—the indigenous women collectives planting mangroves, the heroes stopping coastal development, and the guardians of marine protected areas.

After the screening, experts from The Nat, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, and WILDCOAST will discuss the current state of Mexico's wild places and the ongoing efforts to protect them.
