Del Mar Thoroughbred Club
FollowAbout
Del Mar Thoroughbred Club is the historic seaside thoroughbred racetrack at the Del Mar Fairgrounds, opened in 1937 by founder Bing Crosby and partners. The venue hosts popular summer and fall meets and has staged the Breeders’ Cup World Championships multiple times, including 2017, 2021, 2024 and 2025. Set just inland from the beach in coastal North County, it blends classic “where the turf meets the surf” pageantry with modern grandstands, dining, and infield spaces.
