About

Jacobs Music Center is the historic downtown home of the San Diego Symphony, originally opened in 1929 as the Fox Theatre and reopened in fall 2024 after a $125 million renovation focused on acoustics, sightlines, and a new choral terrace. The reconfigured hall now seats approximately 1,750. Located at Seventh Avenue and B Street in the Core District of downtown, its ornate, movie-palace architecture sits within walking distance of East Village and Gaslamp dining.
